metaStash also provides a means by which users can programatically access their data for display on their own web sites. This is achieved through the use of Web Services, which are currently being developed.
Currently, the type of data that is supported by metaStash includes bookmarks and links (a more permanent bookmark). Shortly, users will also be able to store notes and contacts.
The public interface for using the metaStash Framework is a little something called stashIT!. stashIT! is a web based GUI that provides a set of web forms for accessing and storing data. From the How To section you find all the details for using stashIT!, including our nifty Links Toolbar button (for use with IE) and our registry edit that provides a "stashIT!" link from the browsers Right-Click menu (again, IE only) when it is installed.
One last important note, inspiration for metaStash came from a couple of places, deepleap (gone but not forgotten) and Blogger.
